[well after all That, Mitarai is returning to the dorm. But he has so many notebook pages to straighten out. He's sitting at a table in the common room of the dormitory to get it all sorted. Casually when he notices the other young man:]

Hello, Amami-kun.

A fuzzy rug dominates the floor of Mitarai's room. The bed is made and hosts a blue stuffed animal. There's one chair behind the desk, which has a very tidy array with multiple types of paper and pencils including three different mechanical ones. The centerpiece is a notebook.

Most apprentices have seen the notebook Mitarai got at the first afterparty thrown by Monika. The flame animations, perhaps, or some exchanges with Rantaro. What's less obvious is that these pages all come from the latter part of the notebook... the first few pages of the notebook are sequentially occupied by letters.

[Mitarai ran out to the pool that was empty of souls and then emptied his stomach in private and left his empty room and now enters the empty hallway. He's still nauseous. Maybe Yoosung would say he should have some rice porridge. But he'll never know what Yoosung would actually say, because he's not a preprogrammed fictional character, he's a separate human being with consciousness who really existed, and now is dead. The tears are streaming down Mitarai's face but he eventually glimpses a brunette form and croaks to himself in shock.]

[He didn't really specifically expect to see any particular person here. He still has such a limited acquaintanceship with the "class" as a whole.]
