Week 6: Physical Exam, Sunday: Poe, Golyadkin, Terra, Orga. Monday: Rebecca, Seance. Tuesday: Motive, ice skating with Gogol, Max in the arcade, meeting. Wednesday: Han and Rebecca's deaths with Osomatsu. Thursday: meeting.
On Friday morning he is found in the computer lab. Mitarai gets a get well soon gift from Gogol and asks about Golyadkin, to Poe's surprise. Terra solicits his account of the evening. As they discuss motives, he clarifies Tsukasa's voting options, claims disinterest after Rebecca proved the Resistance "right", and encourages Monika.
He yields to an ordinary glove check, shoe check, upper extremities check, sweetness check during glove speculation, scent check, and measured strip check. However, Tsukasa and Akira begin openly flirting, which Mitarai turns into an excuse to accuse Akira (and stan Mishima).
Meanwhile, Orga points out that motion-sensitive lights invalidate Mitarai's testimony of Waver struggling in the dark with the culprit. When Osomatsu suggests that Waver tased Mitarai and crawled away himself, Mitarai dismisses the action as irrational because it would not save himself or condemn the culprit. When told "If he was dying why would his last thoughts be to kill someone else? Not everyone wants to kill someone, even in the worst situations. Why is that so difficult to understand?", Mitarai snaps "BECAUSE IT'S NOT TRUE! LOOK AT REBECCA-SENSEI!" He is slapped by Osomatsu and Max among the many others who decry this approach.
At this request, he confides his backstory, which Poe and Amami elaborate upon. Terra gives him one firm punch, but accepts his apology.
Then Mitarai flies away.
