He's boiling himself an entire cup of coffee in the dorm common room kitchenette to take back into his room with multiple cups. Then he notices Waver and uh, wow, he knows it will look really antisocial to have made all this coffee and not share all this coffee.]

[Ugh god this is really not what he should be saying when someone just died. Mitarai got the worst tears out of his system for like ten minutes in front of Max but Waver has no way of knowing that and Mitarai just wants the ground to swallow him up.]
